Live practice
Run the whole squad from one live session.
Not athletes logging alone after the fact — a coach-run session where you time sprints, log the group in one table, and send reports before everyone leaves the track.
Practice, while it happens
Open the day’s workout and every athlete is a column. Time reps with the built-in stopwatch or Freelap, log sets and loads as they finish, and drop per-athlete notes without leaving the session. Athletes see their work on their own phones, synced live.
- Squad table
- The whole group logged in one view — no tab-switching per athlete.
- Live timing
- Stopwatch, countdown timers, and Freelap — splits land as they run.
- Segment velocities
- Speed and drop-off per rep, computed during the session.
- Per-athlete notes
- Cue reminders and observations, attached where they belong.
The report writes itself
When the session ends, the sprint report already exists: times, velocities, drop-off, charts per athlete. Export it or email it the same afternoon. Because the session came from your program, results feed straight back into athlete history and season trends.
Questions coaches ask
- How is this different from athletes logging their own workouts?
- Athlete self-logging still works in Laneside, but live sessions are coach-run: you control the session, log for the group in one table, and timing data attaches in real time.
- Does it work on a phone or tablet at the track?
- Yes. The live session is built for touch — bigger targets on tablet and phone, with the same session synced across your devices and your athletes’ phones.
- What ends up in the sprint report?
- Session stats and charts per athlete: times, splits, segment velocities, and drop-off. Reports can be exported or emailed right after practice.
- Can several coaches run the same practice?
- Yes. Multiple coaches on one account can run and log sessions, and the roster, programs, and history stay shared.
