Freelap timing

Freelap splits, straight into athlete history.

Import your Freelap timing exports and every rep lands on the right athlete — splits, segment velocities, and drop-off — without retyping a single time.

From timing system to session report

Freelap gives you accurate times on the track. Laneside is where those times become coaching decisions. Upload the export from a session — CSV or PDF — and Laneside matches reps to athletes, computes segment velocities, and files everything into each athlete’s history.

Timed a session live instead? Laneside runs Freelap alongside live practice too, so splits appear as athletes cross — same data, same reports, no extra step after practice.

CSV & PDF exports
Bring in MyFreelap exports as-is — wide CSV or PDF block exports.
Segment velocities
Speed and drop-off computed for every timed rep, automatically.
Athlete history
Every split lands on the athlete, next to the workout it came from.
Sprint reports
Session stats and charts per athlete. Export or email after practice.

Why coaches stop retyping times

Most timing workflows end in a spreadsheet that only the coach ever sees. When splits live in the same system as the program, you can see fly times trend across a season, compare drop-off across reps, and hand athletes a report the same afternoon — not at the end of the block.

How live practice works

Questions coaches ask

Which Freelap exports does Laneside import?
Laneside imports MyFreelap session exports — both CSV (including wide multi-lap formats) and PDF block exports. Reps are matched to athletes on your roster during import.
Can I use Freelap during a live Laneside session?
Yes. Run practice live in Laneside and Freelap times flow into the session as athletes finish reps, with velocities and drop-off computed on the spot.
What happens to the data after import?
Each rep is stored on the athlete with its splits and computed velocities. It feeds athlete history, fly charts, sprint trend analytics, and the session report you share.
Do I need Freelap to use Laneside?
No. Coaches also hand-time with the built-in stopwatch or log times directly. Freelap import is there when you want automatic timing accuracy.
